It was my 3rd time boarding tanker on anchorage since i started working in this new company. I felt a little excited when i was asked to board the vessel the first time. However subsequently, i dread to go onboard cos after every ship visit, i have to write report to everyone in the office as i'm still on training.

What we have to do onboard is to have a meeting with the master, chief engineer / chief mate regarding the next voyage as well as technical problems which they may have encountered onboard so we can do a report back to the office to get solutions.

Below are some pictures taken during my ship visit ytd.

This is the pilot ladder which i have to climb in order to get onboard

The cargo hole.

and we have to get into the cargo tank from the cargo hole to have a look (seldom will have this chance)
dark and stuffy.. and have to be careful not to trip over the heating coil.
Just showed dad these pictures and he commented," why need to go?? looks so dangerous!"
=X alright i'll be extra careful.
